El Tigre - The Adventures of Manny Rivera (DS) - Review

El Tigre - The Adventures of Manny Rivera (DS)
Ages: Everyone

The action that moves it from a simple side scroller is the duel personality of El Tigre – his good side, supported by his father the virtuous White Pantera, and his wicked side cheered on by his grandfather the El Puma Loco. It is the different special moves that distinguish between the two personalities. This only happen after you have worn your “A” button down to a nubbin. The special moves require you to press the L or R shoulder buttons while making a stoke on the touchpad. It’s a good idea to have your DS resting on a table when executing these moves.

Bad guys are skeletons and they can gang up on you like a horde of ants. While throughout the game Manny looks like Felix the Cat, the skeletons are gifted with a wide variety of expressions. As good El Tigre you fight the skeletons. As bad El Tigre you bust up the place. Trust me. There’s more action in being good. Frida, who has some good moves is only available in multiplayer mode.

Fun Factor: It's like Dias de la Morte
