Indiana Jones - the Adventure Collection - Review

Indiana Jones - the Adventure Collection
Ages: General Audience

All three of Harrison Ford's adventures, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, in a neatly boxed package - Indiana Jones - the Adventure Collection. Just in time for Mother's Day! Hey, I'm a mother and I love Harrison playing Indy - he has such a nice smile.

Lots of good stuff in this collection, over and above the movies; screen time with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg giving their whys and wherefores about the movies, lots of storyboards - and it's interesting to see how closely they come to the actual movie. There are behind the scenes on how the special effects were made - models and all. The three actresses appearing in each of the movies describe how they worked out their character and it's easy to see why Karen Allen, in Lost Ark was our favorite. And of course, you have scene selection so you can go back and play your favorite parts, plus English, French and Spanish audio and subtitles.

You will really need to get up to speed with your Indy lore - a new Indiana Jones movie - The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is coming out in May, plus a new game from Lucas Arts, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. You get a peek at both trailers.

Fun Factor: All three - worth watching again whenever you need a hero fix.
