That's So Raven – Psychic on the Scene - Review

That's So Raven – Psychic on the Scene
Ages: Everyone

This is a great example of how much can be done on the Nintendo DS. Not only are the images of Raven identifiable, but the skillful use of the two screens allows a wide variety of interaction. Although young kids might need some help, moving Raven is done with the directional pad while the selection of tasks, like trying on clothing, and talk is done on the keypad. A particularly amusing bit is blowing into the microphone to clear away the clouds obscuring Raven's psychic vision.

The story revolves around the closing of the legendary Thompson theater. Raven will not let this happen, and so she and her gang set out to discover and foil the plot. There are a load of interesting minigames using the touch pad – one very similar to Diner Dash. Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery.
