Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Nightmare 3
Nightmare, you bet! These ninja fighting turtles are up against hoards of aliens and all
have weapons -- heavy weapons. The Triceratons are old enemies who have returned
in force to destroy the earth and capture a Professor Honeycutt and his Teleportal. The
Professor is not on the earth, but that doesn't save the Turtles from having to do battle.
Otherwise -- no game.
To fight you use both strong and weak attack buttons that are pressed multiple times. As
you win battles you can acquire additional skills. There are also ninja scrolls, which when
found will add special powers. The Ultimate Turtle is the most powerful scroll which
lies inside the Nightmare. Essentially, you want to build the most powerful turtle so you
can win against the uneven odds. In single person mode you play one turtle but the
others will also fight along with you. If unhappy with your pick, you can change your
character during mission select mode.
The top down position of the camera and the cartoon-like graphics adds to the nostalgia
of the game for those of us who remember the TMNT, but new players will enjoy it too.
