Wizards of Waverly Place: Wizard School - Review

Wizards of Waverly Place: Wizard School
Ages: General Public

TV stars are being made - Jake Austin as Max, David Henrie as Justin and Selena Gomez as Alex are being seen everywhere, but their "home" is really on Waverly Place in Greenwich Village in good old New York City. These four episodes are mostly about Justin and Alex being sent to Wizard School. Not as somber or scary as Harry's school but there is some evil afoot with Evilina the Head Mistress. Lots of heavy silliness accompanied by an incessant laugh track. Don't they figure that the kids are smart enough to know when to laugh? They could have left out the show's introduction for each of the episodes. Extras give an nice insight to the kids. Justin plays guitar and boxes, Max is a really good skateboarder and Selena goes shopping and comes away with an acceptably cool couple of outfits.

Fun Factor: Yes but too short - only four episodes
Female Factor: Alex is a strong and mischievous character
